When I opened Beansprouts Preschool in 2008, I sought to use not only my experience and education, but my deep sense of respect for childhood, to design a program that meets children's needs at the deepest level. My expertise in the field has allowed me to tailor my practices based on continuing education and the ever-evolving philosophy of how to meet the children right where they are. Some of my specialties include creating musical experiences with children, setting up fun, wholesome environments for preschoolers, mentoring early childhood educators, and developing loving relationships with children and families.

Maria has worked at Beansprouts since 2009, when she stumbled across our ad seeking an assistant. Since then, she has developed her skills as a teacher through her own experience as a parent, the mentoring she receives at Beansprouts, and her studies in Early Childhood Education at De Anza College. Maria is loved by all - children, Beansprouts staff, and the families who continue to hire her for babysitting and other family services. Maria brings laughter, child-friendly activities, and positive discipline to the classroom.

Erica started at Beansprouts in January 2022. After working at Little Oak Preschool and Barron Park Preschool, she ended up at Beansprouts. The children love interacting with her, hearing her stories, learning together with her, exploring science, collaborating with her to create engaging curriculum. Erica's hobbies include reading and writing and, more recently, graphic illustration.
